These same ones will surface again on the "next wave" of revivalism. Chasing after those signs and wonders. You know, that "adulterous generation." this so doesn't sound like wanting to share truth for the GOOD of those that go a wrong direction. it sounds like finger pointing and heart judging. is the point being right about a "circus"? or is the point, rescuing people from calamity? there were actually not a lot of "supporters" in this thread, but why the question (posed earlier also) "where are they now"? why? what do you want with them now? to help them sort things out and land on their feet? to dress wounds and answer questions? are you wishing you could help them?

I want to know so we can be here for them as we were for 148 pages of discussion and sharing. As a Christian I want to be there for someone seeking information about God and His Word.

Anyone know which page or post the article about "hypnotism" or whatever it was called is located? I've been looking but haven't run across it yet. It's an article about a subject that is taught in college psychology. I could use the information in some research I'm doing. It was similar to the article in Obama the Hypnotist. LOL.

Where's Todd Bentley Hiding? Is it just me, or does anyone else find it odd that the current poster boy for the charismatic healing wave is M.I.A ? To me, if Todd has been truly anointed with healing powers from God, would he not be able to heal himself and not need a sabbatical to rest or be refreshed or whatever other reason they concoct? Looks like others wonder also.

Thanks wintery. I knew there's a search feature, but I'm totally ignorant to it. That was a big help. I found a link a few posts down. It wasn't the one I was looking for, but it's similar enough to be a big help. I am writing a curriculum for a group that asked my study group to come and help them to understand the Bible and other things going on in the church world.

Here's an update on Todd from Fresh Fire Ministry's Web Site: Fresh Fire Ministries Scroll down to Special Prayer Request. Just posting this since the title of thread shows up as 'What Happeened to Mr. Bentley?' Read it with a discerning heart.

Billy Sunday also claimed to have a million notches on his Bible. However, in God's scales, I suspect the four children he lost outweighed the million strangers he "won." One scholar, Gregg Philips, suggested that Sunday got a chance to jump-start his ministry twenty years too soon.

Thanks so much for posting the link to the update, themoodyexperience. I was very dismayed and disturbed by their continued blind support of the false signs and wonders, false teachings, and false prophecies at Lakeland, but at least I know where they [Fresh Fire Ministries] stand. They have blamed their failings and Bentley's failings on fatigue, on long distance leadership, on busy schedules, on leadership pressures, on burn out, on media attention, on getting caught up in a whirlwind, ad nauseum. They have blamed everything BUT the real problem, and that's an utter shame. If they STILL cannot identify, pinpoint, and confess the fact that they were - and are - way off Biblically, then there's really nothing more to say. They are still seeking to somehow 'restore' a false prophet, a false 'miracle' worker, and a false ministry. To add insult to injury, they are looking to Rick Joyner and company to lead the restoration process, which again displays their serious lack of discernment and lack of ability to put God's word over and above the men they adore. I appreciate that FFM has made it clear that Bentley's wife is in no way to blame for the divorce and their desire is to see Bentley restore his marriage first. I appreciate that they want to come clean about Bentley's situation as much as they can and not cover everything up. Unfortunately, it's all for nothing since they refuse to turn away from what is false.

Don't forget alcohol and movies. I took it with a grain of salt. When I forwarded it to someone I know I said it had the appearance of surprising honesty with a ton of rear-end covering. It disappointed me that early on they remind everyone that Lakeland was genuine. But then they go on to point out why it failed. Does anyone else see the gross error in that? It was of God, but here is why it failed. Sorry, last time I looked God doesn't fail.

Todd is a champion in the Global paradigm shift from a lethargic and dunamis-deficient (huh?) church to an empowered body of believers carrying out the Great Commission in a mighty demonstration of the Spirit’s power. That’s how we, and we think many others, will choose to regard Todd even if he doesn’t allow the Holy Ghost to work a process of restoration in his life. That's a scary statement, if you ask me.

I guess the ministry refuses to believe they were taken in by a snake-oil saleman. The guy continues to have an affair and they still support him. Unbelieveable.

Another thing that is unbelievable is the fact that they are still talking about restoration when obviously Todd has no desire to reconcile with God, his wife and family, and others. He doesn't need reconciliation, he needs Salvation. I do believe that we do need to pray for his wife though, I can just imagine how hard this is on her right now. We also need to pray for fresh fire ministries that they would grow a brain and completely confess Todd as being a fraud and a sinner in desperate need of the Savior - Jesus Christ.

Here is a couple of youtube videos of Benny Hinn preaching. I couldn't believe that I agreed with most of what he said. He was wrong on one thing in the first video - the A/G never took a stand against Todd Bentley, but just set on the sidelines. Plus his advice at the end of the first video could have added "if someone has prophesied in the ministry and it hasn't come true, then leave the meeting." But if he said this, then he would be preaching against himself. Interesting stuff and I'd like to hear people's thoughts on these two videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PHIUX2THGa8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym0vidNCNuk

Too bad he didn't say "If I ever pass heroin in a bong to my music minister, then leave the service".

Since then, many false accusations and rumors surrounding both Todd and the Lakeland Outpouring have attempted to use Todd’s failures as a springboard to question the legitimacy of the revival. HELLOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Questioning the legitimacy of the revival started long before Todd's "failures" came to light. So, now everyone who has ever questioned the legitimacy of the revival are just judging Todd's failures. Sheesh.

if the yoke of the Lord is easy and His burden is light, then He has no need to exhaust His people in a fresh encounter with Him. Out of sight, out of mind? I had nothing to do with this movement, other than helping others to see what was really going on, but the effect is still there. The damage was done, is being done, will continue to be done. Places may have changed, names may have changed, advertising may have changed, but the "source" of all these is still the same. May God continue to give mercy to those who are blinded by the fakes. May their eyes be opened to the truth.
